Hotel Barmoi’s
high profile guest - David Beckham (UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador)
Soccer star and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador David Beckham
recently completed a visit to Sierra Leone; he was at Hotel Barmoi,
Aberdeen Freetown, where he traveled with UNICEF representatives
to focus attention on the issue of child survival.
The trip took place during the lead-up to the release of UNICEF's
report "The State of the World's Children 2008." This
year's report says Sierra Leone has the world's highest rate of
infant mortality. David Beckham met with children in Sierra
Leone as part of his role as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, the
UN child agency.
Hotel Barmoi was selected to host UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador David
Beckham because of its suitability and high standard.
